About Klara's Corner

Hello quilters, new and old—welcome to my quilting corner. My name is Eva, and I’m the owner of Klara’s Corner, an e-commerce business filled with beautiful quilt fabric, pre-cut bundles, quilt kits, machine-embroidered quilt squares, long-arm quilting, and other fun finds for quilters/crafters at every stage. My quilting journey began in 2001 while living in South Korea, where my husband was stationed in the military.

While homeschooling my children overseas, I joined other military spouses and teachers who were eager to learn a new art form. One quilting meeting—followed by many enthusiastic, fabric-loving friends—sparked a passion that has stayed with me ever since. We shopped for fabric at Happy Quilt in Seoul’s Dongdaemun Market, and quilting became my creative constant throughout many moves across the world over the years.

In 2024, we finally settled in Oklahoma, where I felt inspired to share that lifelong passion through Klara’s Corner. The name honors my mother, Klara, whose life and love of handcraft deeply shaped mine. Born in 1930 in Budapest, Hungary, she immigrated to the United States in 1969, became a citizen, and eventually moved in with our family in Fairbanks, Alaska. There, she learned to knit scarves and beanies for newborns in military families. Even as her eyesight declined and arthritis set in, she took up quilting at the age of 80. Teaching my mother to quilt—and watching her fall in love with it—remains one of my greatest joys.
To this day, a beautiful fabric brings me back to memories of my mother in her rocking chair, quilting away in Klara’s corner. That spirit of warmth, resilience, and shared creativity is woven into everything you’ll find here. Look around and stay awhile, won’t you? After all, a quilt will warm your body and comfort your soul.
